Whether you know them or not, pay attention when the flight attendant is reviewing the safety rules. Make sure you know where your life vest is, where the exits are, and what to do in the event of an emergency. It never hurts to review and have this information fresh in your mind. You never know how you may react in an emergency until it happens. Imagine not being able to see your hand in front of your face because the lights are out, and the cabin is full of black smoke. Now, do you know where you are in relation to the nearest exit? Make sure you count the rows and note which side of the cabin the exit is on. You also may be in the position to help your fellow passengers or the crew. Always be prepared for any potential emergency event.
