2) Sit the Entire Flight

As tempting as it may be to cuddle up with your blanket and binge watch movies the entire flight, don’t do it. It’s the worst thing you can do for your circulation. Sitting for long periods without getting up and stretching makes it more difficult for your heart to send blood to your legs. You should, rather, stretch your legs frequently during the flight, even if you just stand up by your seat and do some basic stretches. It’s further advised, however, to get up and walk every hour. Having a seat that’s not close to the rest room could be a blessing in disguise. The more you walk, the better your circulation will be maintained during the flight. This decreases the risk of vein thrombosis, a term for blood clots in the legs, which can lead to other health risks as well.
