7) Jamaica
Synonymous with reggae music, Bob Marely, and chill vibes, Jamaica is the perfect place to frolic, play, and just kick back. If you’re a fan, you can even visit the birthplace (and now burial place) of Mr. Marely himself. 7-Mile Beach in the Negril region is the most versatile. It has the most options in terms of accommodation, food and drink, and things to do. 3-star beach resorts such as Travelers or Zanzi run $70 or less per night. Other than white-sand beaches, crystal-clear waters, and a plethora of outdoor activities, Jamaica is also famous for its food. Characteristic meals include jerk chicken, Ackee and salt fish (the national dish and a must-try), and bammy (breakfast pancake). Breakfast and lunch can be purchased between $3-$7.
