3) San Francisco
The city of San Francisco is famous for its great local restaurants, cultural sites, beautiful natural scenery, and fun nightlife. If you love European art, be sure to visit the Legion of Honor. This museum is home to famous sculptures made by Auguste Rodin and more than 800 European paintings. If you’re more of a modern art fan, check out the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, which has works from many 20th and 21st century artists. There are also plenty of parks in and around San Francisco that you can check out. If you want to see the famous towering redwood trees, head to Muir Woods National Monument, which is located 11 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge. You can also explore the beautiful Golden Gate Recreation Area, which offers great hiking and amazing views of San Francisco.
