2) Santa Barbara
The beautiful town of Santa Barbara is located about 100 miles north of Los Angeles. It’s nicknamed the American Riviera because of its gorgeous coastal setting and charming Mediterranean-style buildings with red-tile roofs. You’ll find tons of fun things to do in Santa Barbara. You can spend the day sunbathing on the town’s lovely beaches, or you can go for a bike ride down a path the parallels the beach. When you need a break from the sun, head to the Funk Zone, a trendy, artistic area located between Highway 101 and the Pacific Ocean. Here, you’ll find tons of converted warehouses, galleries, locally-owned restaurants, and unique murals and graffiti. If you want to learn more about Santa Barbara’s history, head to the Presidio neighborhood, home to the Santa Barbara Historical Museum.
