It’s always been a popular spring break destination. The best time to visit, however, is between December and April. If you’re looking to escape the bitter cold temperatures, heading south is the way to go. There are several airports to fly into at reasonable fares: Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm. Although it is the high season, you’re not at risk of a hurricane. The temperatures are moderate, running in the high 50’s to low 80’s. There’s plenty of things to do in Fort Lauderdale. This is quintessential Florida at its best. White sand beaches, swaying palms, and relaxation with more affordable prices than other popular spots are what you’ll find here. It’s nicknamed “The Venice of America,” for its 185 miles of waterways and canals. There are a multitude of dining and shopping options. For a leisurely day, take a stroll along the famous Las Olas Boulevard.
