7) The Odditorium
A fun, down to earth bar in Asheville, the Odditorium features (very good) live music but sets itself apart with something a little different; an eclectic collection of everything freakish and weird, all for sale. Ever wanted to own a two headed duck? You can get one at the Odditorium. The walls are lined with strange creatures and objects, but it’s not creepy. The mood of the bar is welcoming and energetic and the oddness only serves to assist conversations and jokes. The drinks have peculiar names to match the theme, and the bartenders are just as quirky. Live music isn’t the only attraction, as they have a jam packed schedule full of comedy shows, burlesque dancing and karaoke nights too. This peculiar spot may seem disturbing, but come inside and you’ll see why it is reputed to be the best bar in Asheville. Just don’t look up at the rafters…
