9) Boston, MA
Residents of Boston are famously not afraid to speak their mind, especially if someone disses their beloved Red Sox. Of course, not all Boston residents are like this, and you’ll find plenty of friendly and helpful people in Beantown. The city of Boston is the perfect place to go if you’re a history buff. Take a walk down the Freedom Trail, a 2.5-mile path that passes by 16 significant historic locations. This includes the Boston Common, Paul Revere’s house, and the Massachusetts State House. The path also goes by Faneuil Hall, which is a marketplace with a variety of local restaurants. It’s best to avoid driving in Boston—the streets can be hard to navigate, and parking can be limited. Instead of driving, take the T—it’s extensive and runs often.
