The city of Miami may be known for its sunshine, but Travel + Leisure readers say that residents don’t have the sunny disposition to match the weather. One voter called the city a “hot mess.” If you’re simply looking for sun and sand on your vacation, Miami does deliver. Spend your days out on famous South Beach, and lay in the sand and people-watch. Or, take a short drive over to Surfside or Sunny Isles Beach. After you’ve had your fill of the beach for the day, visit some of Miami’s hip neighborhoods. Check out the Art Deco buildings that line South Beach. Or, head to Wynwood and see the famous outdoor mural-covered Wynwood Walls. If you have kids, take them over to Miami Children’s Museum, which has interactive exhibits that little ones will love.
