One of the major wine-growing regions of the world, you don’t get much more romantic than California’s Napa Valley. Napa Valley’s four hundred wineries flourish in its Mediterranean climate of hot, sunny summer days and mild nights with little rain. Enjoy the beautiful, thriving scenery of the grape-growing region by car, train, bicycle or even hot-air balloon, stopping to land every now and then to sample the end product of all those grapes. To complement the copious amount of world-class wine on offer at the Napa Valley, the region has steadily built up an impressive fine dining scene with more prestigious chefs than you can shake a grapevine at. To get out of the sun for a few hours and nurse away the excesses of the night before, Napa Valley also has no shortage of fine spa establishments where you can indulge your senses without the hangover.
