It’s impossible to look at photographs of Kyoto’s iconic cherry blossom season and not want to visit immediately. Once the capital of Japan, Kyoto is located in the center of the island of Honshu in Japan. A place of ancient and fascinating history, Kyoto was home to the Emperor of Japan from the 8th century to the 19th during which time many temples, shrines and palaces were built, some of which survive today.
