11 Cities Abroad that are Most Unfriendly to Tourists

8) Xi’an, China

The former Chinese capital is best known for its amazing subterranean museum of Terracotta Warriors. Sculpted from clay over 2,000 years ago, they are said to honor the first emperor of the Qin Dynasty, Qin Shi Huang. The field of life-sized warriors, discovered in the 1970s, have been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Another one of the most iconic structures in Xi’an is the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, built 1, 300 years ago. Climb to the top of this 64-meter structure and be rewarded with a lovely panoramic view of the city and square below. The pagoda’s square often hosts free entertainment for the public. Yet another ancient wonder is the City Wall, an impressive blockage built around the Old City. Biking is the best way to tour the 13km structure. The only negative aspect in this historically rich city? Locals with abrupt manners and pushy demeanor.
