Banff National Park is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Canada. While pricey, fancy lodges and resorts are common, you can really conserve your funds by choosing to camp during the summer. Bed & breakfasts may also be more affordable than many of the hotels. If skiing is the goal, purchase the Big3 season pass to gain access to all three resorts, plus discounts on other goods and services. It’s also cheaper to book lift tickets and festival passes in advance. The park has a wide variety of restaurants. There are fine dining options with dress codes, less expensive casual fare, and even a Subway and a McDonald’s. If your food budget is tight, but you would still like to experience one of the nicer dining establishments, check out the lunch menus as they are often cheaper than dinner.
