2) Palatka
Palatka is a city with almost nothing to its credit, except for two things: the Florida Azalea Festival and its small population of 10,000. Apart from these, everything else here is pretty bad. It’s located inland, which means you can’t spend your Sundays on the beach. It has a very small population, so you shouldn’t expect a very happening social life. But what makes it one of the worst places to live in the entire state of Florida is the crime rate. With just 10,000 residents, the city saw 618 reported crimes last year, which means 58 crimes per 1,000 people. Annually, there are 67 violent crimes and 551 crimes against totalling 618 crimes per 10,000 people. Its stratospheric crime rate means that it’s safer than just 4% of all the cities in the U.S. And to add to that, Palatka’s unemployment rate is higher than the national average.
