Disney World is a massive resort complex near Orlando, Florida. It opened in 1971 and is the most popular resort in the world. Here you can visit four family-friendly theme parks, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and the most popular one, the Magic Kingdom. In 2015, Epcot had almost 12 million visitors, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood studios had almost 11 million each, and the Magic Kingdom drew over 20 million. In addition, there are two water parks, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach, 31 lodging options from villas to camping, and four golf courses. You can also rent kayaks, go fishing, attend campfires, watch movies and ride ponies. Disney’s website even lists 357 dining options throughout the parks and resorts. A monorail and fleet of boats provide transportation around the complex for guests.
