5. Times Square
Deemed the “Crossroads of the World,” Times Square is perhaps the world’s best known commercial intersection. Located in Midtown Manhattan where Broadway and Seventh Avenue meet, it runs from West 42nd Street to West 47th Street and has plenty of photo ops and stunning stops in between. A truly one-of-a-kind experience, Times Square is flooded with the bright lights of billboards and advertising, giving you a sense of the hustle and bustle of the Big Apple. Over 50 million people a year visit Times Square for the endless shopping, local food, towering skyscrapers and more. This busy junction is also home to the iconic New Year countdown with the famous ball drop. If you can manage to visit during this time of year, it will be an experience not soon forgotten.
