8) Yorba Linda
There aren’t very many places that can boast a better climate than Yorba Linda. The average summer temperatures stay within the mid-70’s; and the air quality is exceptionally good—something that needs to be considered when living in California. Yorba Linda is located in Orange County, some 35 miles from the center of Los Angeles, but has a small suburban quality to it. Like other cities on this list, the city has a high average household income, and enjoys the highest median income of all cities in Orange County. Yorba Linda has also been on CNN Money Magazine’s list of best places to live in the county. It has a 219 acres golf course, owned by the city, which is regarded as one of the finest in the nation. Whilst playing a few rounds, you are likely to get stunning views of the Newport Beach Coast as well as Catalina Island.
