Rated as the 9th best place to live in the whole of the huge state of Pennsylvania, Narberth is small borough, just a half-square-mile in size, located in the Lower Merion Township. So tiny is Narbeth that most of its few thousands residents know each other by name and the little borough is an incredibly desirable place to bring up children. Narbeth has its own government and its own police force which is doing a great job of keeping the crime rate low, 82 percent lower than the rest of the state. The Lower Merion schools are exemplary and high school graduation rates are 15 percent higher than the rest of the state. After school activities are plentiful with a huge park that hosts a number of sports leagues, a creative handcraft studio open to all and a retro movie house in town. All this comes at a price though and the cost of living in Narbeth is a startling 39 percent higher than the rest of Pennsylvania.
