Mesa, Arizona is an affordable city in Maricopa County located approximately twenty miles outside of Phoenix. The city is characterized by its expansive park acreage and split geography. The city is broken up into areas including East Mesa and West Mesa, which span nearly eighteen miles total. Mesa has a hot and dry desert climate and sits amid the Sonoran Desert upon the Salt River. Mesa’s total population is just under 475,000 and includes all regions of the city. Mesa Public Schools and Boeing are among the city’s top employers.
