We all dream of having enough money to travel the world; the places we’d visit, the sights we’d see, the people we’d meet. Unfortunately, many of us don’t have a bottomless budget for traveling. Our world is full of breathtaking places. Some are right here in our backyard. Others are on the other side of the world. The options are endless. However, what’s limiting is our budgets. Don’t despair – many beautiful destinations are much more budget friendly than you’d expect. Here you’ll find nine of our favorites. Now the only problem is deciding where to go first!
1) Montana
As a U.S.-based destination, Montana can be soft on the budget. Plus, this northern mid-west state offers something more exciting than beaches and palm trees. Montana is nature at its best. Known for its mountain terrain, incredible sunrises and sunsets, and generally magnificent scenery, some people believe Montana is the most beautiful State in the U.S. Yellowstone National Park is one of “The Greats”, world-famous for its geysers, hot springs, hiking trails, and waterfalls. While much of the park resides in Wyoming, it’s easily accessible year-round through Montana via the north entrance. A 7-day pass for one vehicle is $30 and campsites start at $15 per night. Food and gas money are the only additional expenses! You can drive the Ghost Town Route between Yellowstone and Glacier National Park to see original towns from the frontier days. Visit natural hot springs and Maverick Mountain along the way.
