7) Ibiza, Spain
This is one of most idyllic places to go on vacation and soon it is going to be one of the most expensive. Ibiza is situated in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, being one of 50 land masses that form the Balearic Islands. Off the east coast of central Spain, Ibiza has been populated since antiquity and has been influenced by various ancient cultures, including the Greeks and the Romans. Equivalent to almost 10 times larger than Manhattan in New York City, the island has long been known for its music scene. Most recently, though, major moves have been made to upgrade the island’s status, and the newest hotel promises to offer an evening’s experience of dining that is likely to be equaled by very few places in the world.
