7) Lifetime Pass to National Parks
Nature lovers rejoice for this Lifetime Pass allowing free access to over 2,000 Federal recreation sites throughout the country. This includes National Parks, Wildlife Refuges, and National Forests. This pass is available to those who are 62 and over for a one-time fee of $10. Seniors aren’t the only ones who benefit from this offer. The pass admits one non-commercial vehicle plus all its occupants free of charge into the park. Additional discounts may apply at specific sites – check what’s eligible before you go! For an additional $10 you can apply online and receive your pass in the mail. If you’re in proximity to any one of the hundreds of Federal Recreation area locations, you can apply in person and skip the extra $10 online processing fee. It’s rumored the price will increase to $80 later this year, so apply while you can!
