2. Use the Stairs
A great way to avoid gaining weight on vacation is to walk whenever possible. Park your car on the opposite side of the hotel parking lot from your room. Use the stairs instead of the elevator. Take a few laps outside of your hotel in the morning for a refreshing morning wake-up. Walk as much as you can during your vacation, too. Depending on your travel spot, you might want to experience some fun, local ways of travel, like by boat or tram. That’s perfectly fine. But don’t forget to walk along the beach or travel down the sidewalks of the main shopping locations. Walking not only keeps pounds off, but it will also let you take in some of the local sights from a new perspective.
